Position Overview

The Quantity Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This includes analyzing project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to provide detailed assessments of materials, labor, and time requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for all materials and labor required for the project.
• Develop cost estimates for projects based on current market trends and materials pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to clarify project details.
• Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditions.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports to support budget proposals.
• Provide insights on potential cost savings and efficiencies.
• Assist in bidding processes and evaluate vendor proposals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity estimation within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, RSMeans, or similar tools).
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
