Position Overview

The Job Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that all housekeeping operations run smoothly. You will lead a team of housekeepers, overseeing daily cleaning operations, conducting inspections, training staff, and implementing quality control measures to maintain the highest cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-the-house spaces.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and promptly address any issues.
• Train and mentor new housekeeping staff, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring team members have the tools they need to perform effectively.
• Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
• Assist in scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage throughout shifts.
• Monitor and report on team performance, providing feedback and support to drive employee engagement and retention.
• Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role in a hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and chemicals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Proficient in basic computer systems (Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software).
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
