Position Overview
The Data Entry Order Processing Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our order processing system. Your primary responsibility will be to input customer orders and manage order details into our database, ensuring that all information is captured accurately and promptly. As part of this role, you will also interact with various departments to ensure a seamless flow of information.
Key Responsibilities
- Input customer orders into the database accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order information, including product details, quantities, and pricing.
- Maintain and update customer records, ensuring that all information is current.
- Assist in processing returns and exchanges as needed.
- Communicate with the sales and shipping departments to coordinate orders.
- Generate reports related to order processing and data entry metrics.
- Participate in training and development sessions to improve skills and efficiency.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in data entry or order processing is highly desirable.
- Excellent typing skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail (minimum typing speed of 40 WPM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and data management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
