Job Overview

The Senior Job Services Specialist will be responsible for overseeing job service initiatives and leading a team of professionals dedicated to supporting job seekers. You will develop and implement programs designed to enhance job readiness, facilitate job placement, and expand community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the job services team in delivering high-quality employment services to job seekers.
• Develop and implement innovative job readiness programs and workshops.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities for clients.
• Conduct individualized assessments to determine client needs and create tailored service plans.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, providing reports and recommendations for improvements.
• Facilitate training for team members and stakeholders on job services best practices.
• Support clients in refining their resumes, developing interview skills, and improving job search strategies.
• Partner with community agencies and organizations to promote resources and job openings.
• Stay updated on labor market trends and employment resources to provide effective services.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of education, experience, and qualities that contribute to our mission:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in job services, workforce development, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in data management systems and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with community organizations and employers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
